Overview
The Florida Democratic Party seeks a full-time, highly motivated, and passionate Youth Coalitions Coordinator for our statewide Take Back Florida program. The FDP Youth Coalitions Coordinator should be a skilled manager, creative thinker, solutions-oriented, and capable of motivating a diverse team. The Youth Coalitions Coordinator will work to expand youth grassroots engagement and boost the volume and quality of outreach on campuses and among young voters by developing dedicated programming with and for young voters. 

The Youth Coordinator provides leadership, guidance, and coordination for FDP youth programs. This position guides development and implementation of initiatives, activities, and events designed to increase youth votes. The ideal candidate is a team player, working collaboratively with other staff, volunteers, and community partners to create a safe, positive, and supportive environment for youth. 

Ideal candidates will also have experience working across departments and with many stakeholders to lead the youth program and projects from inception to completion and will be accountable for all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. 

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement thoughtful and adaptive programming to engage young volunteers and new methods of mobilizing young voters and engaging young activists in Florida.
Develop a written youth organizing and campus organizing plan, budgets, timelines, necessary critical actions, staffing, etc.
Ensure accountability of the FDP youth programs and activities by developing, setting, and implementing performance milestones and metrics while ensuring these milestones and metrics are met and progress is continually demonstrated.
Work to develop strong relationships with local youth stakeholders and constituency groups, including county party leaders and members, local grassroots organizations and activists, local candidates, partner and ally groups, and external stakeholders. 
Recruit, manage, and train youth volunteers to participate in direct youth voter contact, including but not limited to a broad range of visibility events to educate youth voters, door-to-door canvassing, high-traffic canvassing, voter registration, and youth relational organizing.
Work to expand youth grassroots engagement and boost the volume and quality of outreach on campuses and among young voters.
Drive community-specific messaging through social influencers and traditional community media in coordination with Communications departments.

Skills & Qualifications: 
2+ cycles of campaign organizing experience working with young voters and activists, campus programs, and including 1+ cycles of staff management experience, is strongly preferred.

Demonstrates success at managing projects, working collaboratively, and cross-departmental project management to ensure goals, deliverables, and deadlines are met. 
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from many backgrounds.
Experience developing, training, and empowering volunteers with a solid ability to build and foster a positive team culture.
Proficiency in VAN, basic computer literacy, Google Docs, MobilizeAmerica, and additional technology platforms.
Must have access to a reliable laptop and a WiFi connection. 
Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel frequently.
Understanding the Florida political landscape and knowledge of the Democratic ecosystem is a plus.
Experience in purple and red states is a plus.
Multilingual is a plus.
$6,000 - $6,000 a month
The salary is $6,000/mo. Position includes full health, dental, and vision benefits.
Logistics
The position is based in Florida, with a preference for Miami or Orlando. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable mode of transportation and the ability to travel extensively throughout the state for more than a day at a time.
