We are seeking a proactive and organized individual to join our team as a Special Assistant to the Executive Director. The Special Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director in executing the Chair's vision and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Executive Director in executing the Chair's vision by providing comprehensive support on a day-to-day basis.
    • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and memos for internal and external meetings, ensuring all relevant information is accurately documented and disseminated.
    • Manage and prioritize the Executive Director's schedule, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
    • Elevate tasks and action items to the appropriate staff person or department, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
    • Collaborate with the coalitions and party affairs team to assist with organizing events, political outreach initiatives, and other operational duties as needed.
    • Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director and internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners, fostering effective communication and coordination.
    • Conduct research and compile reports on relevant topics to support decision-making and strategic planning processes.
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Public Administration, Communications) preferred.
    • Proven experience in a similar role providing high-level administrative support, preferably in a political or nonprofit organization.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise memos, emails, and reports.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Commitment to upholding the values and mission of the Florida Democratic Party.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
