The Florida Democratic Party 2024 Coordinated Campaign is seeking applications for organization wide interns. Interns will be trained by the 2024 Coordinated Campaign staff and have opportunities to gain hands-on experience by supporting projects ranging from research and communications to event planning, coalition outreach and operations special projects.

This internship is geared toward providing training to those with an interest in working on campaigns in the future. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

    • Maintain digital infrastructure including Candidate Toolkit, further developing resources for candidates running in 2024
    • Facilitating virtual phone banks for grassroots volunteers
    • Collaborating with caucuses and committees across the state to support candidates
    • Assist Director of Candidates and Campaigns with research projects, programming, and other duties as assigned
    • Special projects as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • High level of personal responsibility.
    • Ability to work week nights and weekends as necessary.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain calm and positive demeanor under pressure.
    • Ability to work well with others and respect opinions.
    • Close attention to detail.
    • Commitment to Democratic principles.
    • Previous campaign/political/organizing experience a plus.
    • Strong public speaking skills are preferred.

This is a volunteer role and does not provide compensation. The FDP Internship Program will generally provide opportunity for interns to have hands-on experience to complement their undergraduate and graduate studies. Interns can be matched with FDP projects including state party operations, political fundraising, and/or communications of digital projects. Fellows and Interns are at will volunteers.
