About the Role
As an HVAC maintenance, you will be responsible for and repairing needs at Flow Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with excellent troubleshooting skills. This role involves ensuring residents and hotel guests comfort and satisfaction by maintaining HVAC systems at peak efficiency and addressing service requests promptly.

Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of property HVAC systems and equipment, including but not limited to:  
    • HVAC: Perform preventive maintenance and repair on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
    • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the long-term functionality of HVAC equipment
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules
    • Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and staff to address maintenance-related issues and support overall property operations
    • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment
    • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reduce downtime
    • Replace filters, clean coils, and check refrigerant levels as part of routine maintenance
    • Respond promptly to resident service requests related to HVAC systems and provide effective solutions
    • Communicate with residents and hotel guests to ensure their concerns are addressed and explain the work being performed
    • Responsible for  the replacement and installation of Heat Pumps, minisplits and fan coil units in the facility
    • Ensure all installations meet building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines
    • Work closely with the property management team and maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and upgrades
    • Provide expertise and recommendations for system improvements
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC regulations

Ideal Background

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or certification in maintenance-related fields is preferred
    • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting
    • Strong technical skills and knowledge of maintenance procedures for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
    • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently and efficiently
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staffAttention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and equipmentMinimum of 5 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience, preferably in multi-family or residential properties
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment
    • EPA certification (Type II or Universal) required
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
