About the Company
Flow aims to create a superior living environment that enhances the lives of our residents and communities by developing, acquiring, owning, and managing multifamily apartment buildings and the services and technology inside those buildings.
Fulfilling our mission will require an exceptional group of people whose collective output is greater than the sum of its individual parts. Our team members are energized by the opportunity to impact our residents’ lives in meaningful ways. They are bold and creatively ambitious, driven by relentlessly high standards, act with a sense of urgency and accountability, and always, above all, operate with integrity, loyalty, and trust.
About the Role:
At Flow, we believe great design is felt before it's seen. We’re looking for a Head of Interior Design who doesn’t just create beautiful spaces—they create experiences that ground, soothe, and inspire. This role is ideal for a seasoned creative with a love for humans, nature and a refined sense of restraint. Our aesthetic leans into what we call primitive luxury—think organic tones, open-air environments, handcrafted details, and materials that carry the soul of the land. It's about finding elegance in simplicity, and creating spaces where people feel connected—to themselves, to nature, and to each other. Knowledge of sustainable design practices a plus. If you’re passionate about storytelling through texture, light, and space—and want your work to contribute to something deeper—this might be your place.
We will only consider applicants that provide links to portfolios, Instagram and/or websites showcasing their work.
Responsibilities:
- Design with a deeply tactile sensibility: warm woods, soft stone, organic textiles—materials that invite presence.
- Collaborate closely with architects, artisans, and visionaries to bring ideas from sketch to sanctuary.
- Stay curious—explore new ideas in regenerative design, biophilia, and wellness-led architecture.
- Conduct site visits and lead on-the-ground styling, installation, and finishing details.
- Balance conceptual boldness with practical execution, timelines, and budget awareness.
Ideal Background:
- 10+ years of experience in high-end interior design, with a strong portfolio spanning hospitality, residential, and experiential environments.
- Strong foundation in conscious design practices, with a working knowledge of sustainability standards such as WELL and LEED.
- Deep appreciation for natural materials, sensory balance, and the art of restraint—championing quality over opulence.
- Mastery of tools including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven experience guiding projects from concept through completion, with a deep understanding of FF&E sourcing and global design systems.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and team leadership skills.
- Alignment with Flow's ethos: design as a form of wellness, connection, and quiet impact.
