About the Role
The Assistant Project Manager will assist with management of assigned projects while following organizational policies, programs, budget, and schedules to accomplish goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is diligent, detail oriented and can oversee multiple projects from all aspects, design, estimating, billing, execution.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Measure project performance based on company metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Recruit and manage relationships with trade partners in alignment with Flow’s company vision.
- Process POs and Invoices for all projects and keep track of budget versus spend.
- Review Request for Proposals, and submittals, identify conflicts or missing items, and develop, manage, and maintain a detailed project schedule and workflow.
- Coordination of deliveries, material staging, and storage as well as troubleshooting issues with deliveries.
- Provide support to the Construction Project Manager to drive and maintain project schedules.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis and report to the project team. Keeping accurate daily logs and documenting the process with photos.
- Manage relationships with trade partners, vendors, and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Manage and execute the change order process. All change orders must be written, approved and signed by the project owner.
- Support in managing the logistics of receiving materials, furniture, and equipment and monitoring stocks.
- Collaborate with Community Management to effectively communicate to residents and building staff project commencement, impact on building operations, and projected completion.
- Prepare presentations and provide weekly status updates on projects to the internal operations team.
- Travel to job sites as directed by Project Managers.
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience and management of multiple construction and renovation projects.
- Familiarity with the sequence of construction and project delivery
- Ability to read floor plans, run project take offs, and identify the project scope.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
