About the Role
We are seeking an Associate to support Flow’s Real Estate Investments function. The new hire will be one of the first dedicated hires for the RE team and will immediately have a high level of responsibility and visibility. This Associate will liaise closely with senior team members in creating and maintaining asset and fund-level models. The Associate is also expected to support Flow’s Investments function by way of diligence and underwriting new multifamily acquisitions as well as managing the existing portfolio to maximize investment performance. The Associate will be an integral part of the team’s success, and will be one of the earliest members of the RE team
Responsibilities
- Create/maintain fund-level models and investor-level partner capital statements
- Review/analyze management fee and carried interest calculations
- Prepare analysis and materials for internal working group meetings to support asset strategy
- Responsible for updating fund-level liquidity model
- Monitor liquidity availability, timing of investor capital calls/distributions, need for credit facility borrowings/repayments
- Qualitative and quantitative business, financial, and other due diligence in conjunction with due diligence/underwriting process on potential new investments
- Prepare investment committee memorandums describing potential new investments and rationale
- Prepare and effectively analyze market data/research
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or similar)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in real estate private equity, real estate finance, brokerage, or quantitative analytics
- Preferred background in fund and asset modeling, though not required
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to convey complex information clearly
- Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint, including data analysis and presentation skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines efficiently
$125,000 - $175,000 a year
