The role of the Site Manager is to lead the Construction of Projects to achieve successful completion, meeting or exceeding the expectations of all stakeholders, including customer. He/She has a primary focus to achieve on time and on budget delivery, by driving the hired BOP Contractors to achieve the same goal. Reducing project risks where possible and delivering the projects with Safety as the key driver. This position reports into Fluence Project Manager.

Responsibilities

    •  Provide leadership and guidance in construction planning to the project team, interfacing and working with the project manager to minimize risk and maximize business performance.
    • Working in close cooperation with Energy Storage project and engineering teams, lead the construction site activities for battery storage projects until satisfactory completion.
    • Work with the client team and internal project, safety, engineering, commissioning and business administration.
    • Oversee contractors, sub-contractors to ensure safety, quality and schedule are met.
    • Ensure safety guidelines and requirements are followed on job sites.
    • Evaluate construction methods to determine cost-effectiveness of plans. 
    • Respond to specific conditions on site, e.g. schedule delays, emergencies or other problems.

Requirements

    • Experience managing similar High / Medium Voltage Projects (Switchyard, Transmission Lines, etc) and connections to the grid. 
    • Proficient in MS Office applications including, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other basic computer skills.
    • Excellent Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
    •  Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good interpersonal skills and team-spirited attitude.
