Role Overview
As the Asset Manager within the Field Service business, you will be responsible for the commercial, technical, and financial performance of a portfolio of BESS sites. You will lead a small team of field engineers and ensure that customer scopes of work are delivered with robust management plans, timely issue resolution, and effective prioritisation of service activities.

This role requires close collaboration with internal finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting, asset performance tracking, and P&L forecasting

Key Responsibilities

Asset Oversight & Performance

    • Own the lifecycle performance of BESS assets under your remit, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
    • Monitor and report on asset KPIs, including technical performance, financial metrics, and customer satisfaction.
    • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Team Leadership

    • Manage and mentor a team of field engineers, ensuring high performance and development.
    • Allocate resources and prioritise tasks based on operational urgency and strategic importance.
    • Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all field service protocols.

Customer Scope & Documentation

    • Ensure all customer scopes of work are supported by clear management plans and documentation.
    • Oversee the creation and maintenance of service documentation, including work instructions, risk assessments, and escalation pathways.
    • Act as a point of contact for customer issue resolution and service delivery updates

Commercial & Financial Interface

    • Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to support asset-level P&L forecasting and budget tracking.
    • Provide input into commercial proposals and contract reviews related to service scope and asset performance.
    • Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with accurate data and insights.

Qualifications & Experience

    • Proven experience in asset management, preferably within energy or infrastructure sectors.
    • Strong understanding of BESS technologies and field service operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
