About the position:
Location: Houston, TX or Arlington, VA or Alpharetta, GA

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of inventory levels, including tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilize various planning and inventory management systems to analyze material and finished goods requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory.
• Generate detailed reports on inventory levels, trends, and future projections.
• Align efforts with company objectives to support cost-saving initiatives and process enhancements.
• Implement and manage an efficient cycle count process, review daily count data, and oversee reconciliation efforts to identify root causes.
• Lead the annual physical inventory count process and coordinate reconciliation activities.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect both executive strategies and plant-level performance measures. Analyze data to identify the underlying causes of variances.
• Act as the liaison between finance and operations teams to verify actual performance, assess risks, and analyze the impact on daily inventory levels.
• Establish, evaluate, and maintain inventory control processes, including a formal reconciliation and sign-off process.
• Set and adjust safety stock levels for spare parts and raw materials. Prepare End-of-Life (EOL) analyses for discontinued items, and work with planners and purchasing teams on an exit strategy.
• Conduct risk scenario planning to anticipate potential risks and develop contingency plans.
• Lead the resolution of complex supply and inventory-related issues.

What an ideal candidate brings to Fluence:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
    • At least 3 years of experience in planning, purchasing, or inventory management.

    • Preferred Experience and Skills
    • Experience as an Inventory Analyst in the Capital Equipment industry.
    • Familiarity with working with Contract Manufacturers.
    • Experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
    • Proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
    • Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
    • Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel.

    • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in business is preferred.
    • MBA preferred.
