What You'll Do
- Lead the development and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage and participate in the month-end close process and the preparation of monthly financial reports for executive management.
- Lead the financial audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit experience.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and ensuring effective team operations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and other financial regulations, ensuring compliance across all areas.
- Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities.
- Assist with inventory projects, project planning initiatives, and other tasks and duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to Have
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Proven expertise in risk assessment and developing internal controls to mitigate risks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar platforms is a plus.
- Extensive experience in small to mid-size manufacturing environments, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, fostering team collaboration, development, and high performance.
- Proficiency in inventory valuation accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to optimize financial processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros, are an asset.

Salary: $155,000- $175,000
