What You Will Do
- Design next-generation boards to meet future product and system requirements.
- Participate actively in design reviews, providing critical feedback and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive verification protocols to validate designs and ensure they meet functional and performance specifications.
- Assess and propose improvements to company best practices, enhancing efficiency, design quality, and team workflows.
- Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software.
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineers to optimize the mechanical and electrical interfaces of designs.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams to meet product quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support production teams by addressing manufacturing challenges and ensuring smooth design implementation.
What You'll Need to Have
- Proficiency in PCB design, focusing on performance optimization and reliability.
- Experience with real-time control systems, including the design and operation of components such as valves and LEDs.
- Familiarity with bare-metal programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is highly desirable.
- Expertise in board bring-up and system integration to ensure hardware functionality and seamless operation.
- Background in FDA-regulated or similar industries, with knowledge of compliance and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic development and PCB design.
- Experience with SolidWorks for mechanical and electrical design collaboration (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ARM architecture, including hands-on experience with STMicroelectronics and NVIDIA platforms.
- Experience in design reviews, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and expertise in root cause analysis for hardware and system failures.
- Experience in designing and executing verification protocols to validate hardware designs.
- Proven ability to assess and improve engineering practices to enhance workflows and design quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating with Firmware Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Quality Assurance teams, and production staff.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000/yr
