Nixie is a portable flying camera that captures candid shots of you in the moment, without interrupting the action. Nixie was the Grand Prize winner in Intel's Make-it-Wearable challenge. We presented a live demo in the CES 2015 Keynote with the CEO of Intel and won the event!

Our technology pushes the boundaries of sensing, controls, autonomy, airframe, and safety design. With a huge amount of seed funding we are developing Nixie to deliver a unique product and user experience to mass consumer marketplace. A product that will allow users to capture and share engaging images and videos without having to experience life’s best moments through a viewfinder. Responsibilities:
Work with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, scientists, and UI designers. Work cross functionally to reduce the weight of the structure, refine design, devices thermal management, ergonomics, and electronics integration. 
Be a big part of taking our product from design into mass production!

Qualifications:
-Ms or PhD in ME, robotics, physics, or similar discipline 
-Experience with MATLAB, Python, Mathematica, or other scientific programming language.
-Experience programming in C/C++. Programming for embedded systems a plus.
-Experience working with and testing digital electronics.
-Experience conducting experiments, documenting and communicating results with clarity.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.
-Crisp understanding of dynamics, vibrations, structural stability, thermals, and aerodynamics

Experience:
-Took parts from design all the way through tooling to injection molding in mass production 
-Expert understanding of materials relevant for mass production 
-strong in calculations
-3 years experience working on consumer electronics 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Passionate about photography and imaging
Experience working on UAV/drone products
Effective working with multi-location teams
