Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting skilled Roofing Foreman (commercial) to fill 2 vacancies in the Regina, Saskatoon and surrounding area (202 Solomon Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4N 5A8 and 134 Faithful Crescent, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7K 8H8)). Other locations across Saskatchewan will be required based on awarded projects.

Responsibilities include:

-Recommend appropriate building, construction materials and roofing metal products

-Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and regulations

-Supervise with the installation of commercial and industrial Roofing applications (including Conventional 4 ply/built up roofing systems using asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel; Modified Bitumen (Mod-bit) roofing; single ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics or asphalt compositions)

-Oversee assigned crews and ensure that they work in accordance with safety policies

-Ensure all on site personnel comply with project procedures, work and equipment maintenance rules

documents all violations, implements and recommends corrective actions

-Act as company liaison to job superintendents and work crews

-Communicate all aspects of job status (i.e. extras, schedule delays, etc. with superintendents and project manager)

-Follow-up with on-site problems with area superintendents and field operations manager

-Obtain monthly man hour forecast from area supervisor and prepare man hour backlog report

-Provide training to more junior level workers

Qualifications Required:

-Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Roofer in commercial Roofing OR completion of a 2 + year apprenticeship program (journeyman)or equivalent

-Previous experience in Foreman/woman role is preferred

-Completion of secondary school diploma OR equivalent is preferred

-Intermediate English or French skills

-Have a valid Driver's License

-Ability to instruct apprentices and new workers

-Ability to work at heights

-Ability to learn and obey our company safety policy

-Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

Terms of Employment:

• Permanent full time at 30-40 hours a week. Overtime after 10 hours a day or 80 hours biweekly, paid at time and a half.

• $35.00-42.00 per hour, depending on qualifications (starting wage for meeting minimum requirements is $35.00, wage scale increases based on additional experience).

• Benefits include: Extended Medical, Dental, Vision, Accidental Death & Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, as well as optional Registered Retirement Savings Plan & Deferred Profit Sharing Plan with company contribution up to $2500 annually.

• 6 % vacation pay on all earnings, 4% stat holiday pay on all earnings except for overtime and double time.
