Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting skilled Metal Roofers (commercial) to fill 5 F/T vacancies in the Regina, Saskatoon and surrounding area (202 Solomon Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4N 5A8 and 134 Faithful Crescent, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7K 8H8)). Other locations across Saskatchewan will be required based on awarded projects.

The position of “Metal Roofer” is a skilled labour role, in which the Metal Roofer works within a team, reporting to the site foreman to lay a variety of roofs on industrial, institutional and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, repair and replace of Architectural Metal Flashing and Cap Flashings

• Install, repair and replace of Architectural Cladding applications, including Steel Roofing and Wall finishes, Composite Aluminum Wall finishes, Architectural Rain Screen Systems, Composite Aluminum Wall panels and Custom Zinc or Copper applications

• Set up and use rigging and hoisting equipment

• Install, fabricate and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools

• Install Architectural sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes

• Provide training to more junior level, less experienced workers

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 3 years' Metal Roofing (commercial) experience OR completion of a two- to three-year apprenticeship program OR Journeyman/woman certificate OR Journeyman/woman certificate equivalent

• Intermediate English or French skills

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to work and communicate with others

• Ability to install all types of metal roofing, wall cladding and composite aluminum panels

• Ability to instruct apprentices and new workers

• Ability to work at heights

• Ability to learn and follow our extensive company safety policy

Terms of Employment:

• Permanent full time at 30-40 hours a week. Overtime after 10 hours a day or 80 hours biweekly, paid at time and a half.

• $30.00-36.00 per hour, depending on qualifications (starting wage for meeting minimum requirements is $30.00, wage scale increases based on additional experience).

• Benefits include: Extended Medical, Dental, Vision, Accidental Death & Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, as well as optional Registered Retirement Savings Plan & Deferred Profit Sharing Plan with company contribution up to $2500 annually.

• 6 % vacation pay on all earnings, 4% stat holiday pay on all earnings except for overtime and double time.
