Fnatic is on a course of rapid global expansion, with a drive to seek out, level up and amplify every gamer on the planet. Our method of doing this is through a unique business model that encompasses a consumer product business, a traditional media rights-holder business, as well a competition sports business. To support this growth, we’re in need of a savvy Management Accountant on an initial fixed-term basis whose day to day will range from the preparation of management accounts, through to analysing gross margins through to reconciling employee expenses. In addition, you’ll be tasked with developing business insights through data collection, KPI reporting and analysis; leading to suggestions for business efficiency improvement.

Please note, there may be the scope to transition to permanent for a successful candidate.

Your mission is to:

    • Provide general book-keeping and financial analysis
    • Develop processes and system improvements to continually drive efficiencies and automations
    • Support Finance operations by raising customer invoices, code and enter supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, deal with queries and raise payments
    • Oversee cash books and bank reconciliations at entity and group level
    • Own the month end close process - consolidating entities, reconciling inter-company accounts, providing segmented reports and
    • Assist with detailed month-end variance analysis for circulation to Exec team
    • Assist with quarterly VAT return and annual financial accounts preparation, liaising with external accountants
    • Support the annual audit process, answering queries and preparing required reconciliations
    • Perform a range of migration tasks as we implement Netsuite
    • Support the development of more junior team members, partaking in workshops to help impart your knowledge
    • Ad-hoc duties as directed by your manager

We're looking for:

    • Accountancy qualification such as CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
    • Book-keeping experience and an understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
    • A mix of practice and industry experience, ideally with strong audit exposure
    • Understanding of relevant business performance metrics, ideally for an Ecommerce/consumer product business
    • Operational knowledge of finance and reporting tools, ideally Xero, Netsuite and Tableau
    • Strong analytical skills, being an Excel/Google Sheets expert and other relevant applications to create business insights
    • Confident communication and a client-oriented way of working with other members of our team
    • The ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines, combined with a natural gift for accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to use initiative and challenge the status quo
    • Flexible approach to workload and proactive mindset in less demanding times
    • A passion for esports and belief that we’re on a great mission
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, other languages desirable
