Fnatic is in pursuit of an exceptional Head Coach to lead and inspire our Valorant team to new heights of competitive excellence. Based in Berlin, you will be at the forefront of one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving esports organisations globally. Your role is pivotal in shaping and moulding our elite Valorant players into a formidable force, striving for victory in every tournament.
Your expertise in analysing opponents and adapting gameplay accordingly sets you apart, and you combine that with an ability to create a team environment that brings the best out of those around you.
Your mission is to:
- Team Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork within Fnatic’s Valorant team
- Competition Preparation: Strategically prepare the team for success in tournament campaigns, ensuring that we peak competitively at the right moment. Analyse our opponents, scenario plan and devise match strategies with our IGL
- In-game Mastery: Focus on match winning details. Develop and implement advanced tactical strategies, ensuring our team is ahead of the curve in-game
- Player Development: Elevate the individual and collective skill levels of players through targeted analysis, coaching and practice sessions
- Scouting and Recruitment: Collaborate with central Pro-Gaming management to identify and acquire top-tier talent that aligns with Fnatic's vision and values
- Performance Analysis: Analyse gameplay, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide constructive feedback to players to continuously improve their performance
- Mental Resilience: Work with our Performance Coach to nurture mental resilience, focus, and composure within the team, especially during high-pressure situations
- Game Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the ever-changing Valorant meta, adapting strategies and playstyles accordingly
- Communication Excellence: Ensure clear and effective communication within the team, both in-game and out
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage practice time, resources, and support staff to maximise productivity
- Player Welfare: Care for the physical and emotional well-being of players, creating a supportive and growth-oriented environment
- Fnatic Values: Uphold and embody Fnatic's core values, setting an example for our players and staff
- Shape the Valorant coaching approach: Ensure alignment in coaching strategies and foster a cohesive coaching team
- Public Ambassador: Engage with the community and the media through interviews, content and public events
- Collaborate for Best Practice: Share experiences with staff from other Fnatic esports titles to implement best practices in coaching and player development, promoting a unified approach to excellence across Fnatic teams
We're looking for:
- A stellar coaching track record in competitive FPS esport titles
- Ability to inspire and lead a team
- A strategic mastermind, capable of dissecting gameplay and devising winning strategies
- An effective communicator, both in conveying tactical instructions and fostering team cohesion. You understand that success in esports is a result of collective effort
- A deep passion for esports and awareness of the ever-evolving competitive landscape
- Mental fortitude and emotional intelligence; you'll be instrumental in keeping our players focused and resilient during intense competitions
