About The Role
Food52 is seeking a Community Editor to grow and deepen the relationship with our amazing community across our site, social channels, and in-person events. 

At Food52, we have an exceptionally positive community, who love to share their knowledge and help others. We are a constructive community – one where members participate in meaningful ways to make Food52 a better resource, whether that’s through contributing recipes, engaging in positive discourse in our on-site or social comments, writing us DMs, testing recipes, writing content, entering a recipe contest, reviewing a product on our shop, answering questions on hotline, or helping develop our products.

We’re looking for someone who will further cultivate ways for members of our community to engage with each other, contribute to our content and product creation, and manage the execution of these processes. This may mean running our annual Holiday Swap, overseeing our recipe contests, and spearheading our community’s input into our Five Two products, as well as dreaming up new initiatives. Our Community Editor will be tasked with growing engagement and participation, and will be the eyes and ears of what our community needs.

Our Community Editor needs to have
Proven experience as a Food52 community member (or another online community).
Direct experience as a community manager for a food or lifestyle brand. 
An understanding of what resonates with our diverse community and conviction about what we can be doing to better serve them across all
of our channels. 

The ideal Community Editor will have project management and editorial experience, and be comfortable handling a vast amount of internal and external communications. This editor will be excited to get to know all corners of our community and to make everyone’s experience productive and fulfilling. Creating compelling programming for our existing engaged Food52 community, and our future members, is paramount.

Cross-functional collaboration with Editorial, Marketing, Shop, Social, Video, Executive Leadership, and Brand Partnerships teams is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities
Keep a handle on daily community interactions across the site and on our social channels, making sure we’re actively participating and responding
Evolve and manage annual flagship community programs
Re-invigorate our recipe contests and develop a sustainable process for managing themDevelop and execute new constructive and compelling initiatives for our community
Partner with the Five Two team to fully engage our community in the development of our best-selling product line 
Partner with the Marketing team to make sure our community’s voices are heard and celebrated across channels and initiatives
Partner with the Social team to develop innovative ways to engage and highlight our community
Partner with Brand Partnerships on ideation and execution of events involving our community
Champion community involvement with the team and educate new team members on how the Food52 community works and what makes it special
Cultivate key community members, super users, and superfans
Report and track community growth and engagement results

Skills/Requirements
Minimum 2 years active experience as a Food52 Community Member or other online community member
3+ years in digital food media / editorial / content, a plus
3+ years experience in community management
3+ years in project management, a plus
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, balancing multiple projects and expertly prioritizing big and small programs
Collaborative nature balanced with ability to execute on your own and with a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple channels of user engagement
Eagerness to engage with and cultivate one of the best and most passionate communities on the internet
Compensation & Benefits
The annual compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
