About the role:

The Contracts Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the legal integrity and successful execution of contracts. The Contracts Manager will draft and maintain contract templates, assist the sales team in negotiating and reviewing client contracts, and oversee review of vendor agreements. This role entails training, advising on procurement policies, legal/business terms, and assessing risks in data privacy, security, and intellectual property across Foodsmart's contracting functions.

You will:

    • Draft, negotiate (independently or cross functionally), and review agreements/contracts, including but not limited to: NDA, BAA, MSA, PSA, SOW, SLA and DPA, while assessing risks related to data privacy, security, and intellectual property.
    • Maintain templates and playbooks for use by the procurement team, providing training as needed.
    • Assist with renegotiation/termination of contracts.
    • Efficiently prioritize internal and external resources, while minimizing risk and maximizing cost-effectiveness.
    • Serve as a liaison between Legal, IT, Risk Management, and Procurement for vendor security reviews and maintenance of approved data sub-processors.

You are:

    • Highly experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in healthcare
    • Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying policies, procedures, and laws.
    • Experienced in contract drafting with the ability to use both standard and non-standard forms effectively.
    • Guided by your uncompromising ethics and values, and able to guide others in turn.
    • Skilled at interpreting federal and state healthcare regulations, as well as legal compliance processes.

You have:

    • Bachelor's Degree required in the field of law, business administration, healthcare administration etc, and or relevant experience
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in directly overseeing contract and procurement functions, ideally in the healthcare sector
    • Knowledge of contract law

$75,000 - $125,000 a year

Base Salary Range: $75,000/yr to $120,000/yr + equity + benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
