About the role

As a Store Compute Technician, you will be working in a customer focused, high performing IT team, responsible for deploying and supporting of infrastructure and end user computing services for Foodstuffs North Island Supermarkets Stores and Distribution Centres. This includes support of hardware and software across a range of equipment including end user devices, networks, and servers.

Through the role you will be providing IT support to a wide range of users with different capabilities and needs. Being customer focused and able to communicate clearly to all users while top level support services is a must. Our key objective is to deliver best in class operational outcomes, whilst providing a seamless user computing function that will help our customers get maximum benefit for their IT solutions.

Based in Palmerston North, your key responsibilities will also include:
·       Deploy, support, and configure hardware and software to FSNI Supermarkets and our Distribution Centres to required standards.
·       Provide level 2/3 IT support for users based in FSNI Supermarkets and Distribution Centres
·       Assist remote support teams with incident resolution.
·       Assist with the development and maintenance of the FSNI end user computing strategy.
·       Manage Hardware requests for new and existing users.
·       The role is based on site at our Roberts Line Facility in Palmerston North
·       Provide onsite support for our Supermarkets in the Lower North Island region.
·       Be the customer IT champion at our Roberts Line facility in Palmerston North

About You:

You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about doing your job, constantly curious and always seeking to improve your knowledge.  You will also have excellent communication and relationship building skills as there are multiple touch points across the business along with exceptionally sound logic, systems thinking, and analytical skills that are second to none.

You will also have:
·       Experience in customer facing IT support
·       Knowledge of new and emerging technology particular to Supermarkets and End User Devices
·       Expertise in infrastructure deployment and management practices
·       Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
·       The ability to understand, deliver and improve services and/or processes particularly processes that support achieving our operational objectives and SLA’s.
·       The ability to think on your feet in a customer facing role.
·       The ability to physically install IT Hardware in a complex range of locations. (This does require the confidence and competence to use tools)
·       Fantastic customer support skills
