Transport Planning Manager
Be part of our Supply Chain Transport Planning & Optimisation team as the Transport Planning Manager. You’ll be part of the team that makes sure we warehouse and deliver goods efficiently from our distribution centres to our stores – think PAKnSAVE, Four Square, New World and Gilmours.
As aTransport Planning Manager,you’ll:
· Lead, coordinate and inspire a team of Transport Planning Specialists.
· Support overall team engagement through:
o Making sure the team keep our ‘Journey to Zero’ framework front of mind.
o Building and supporting sharing of transport knowledge and planning expertise across the team.
o Setting clear KPIs, recognising success and providing constructive feedback.
o Supporting team member career development.
· Play a key role in the daily Supply Chain operational transport activities, by overseeing the creation of daily load plans, review of prior plans and ensuring a continuous improvement and one-team mindset.
· Lead the identification and implementation of planning initiatives that result in cost avoidance whilst maintaining or improving service levels and load plan quality.
· Support the Transport Planning component of wider Supply Chain and FSNI tactical and strategic initiatives.
· Support Team coverage by stepping into complete daily planning tasks as required.
What skills and experience you need
· A minimum of 1 - 3 years managing a high performing team, ideally within the road transport industry.
· Experience in Supply Chain and/or FMCG is preferred, but not essential.
· Proven track record in freight movement optimisation using software-based tools.
· Attention to detail, planning and strong communication skills.
· Ability to travel and work flexible hours as we operate 24/7.
· Collaborative working style and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Act as a trusted advisor to the Leadership team and influence decision-making.
