Te Tūranga – About the role 
As a Team Leader you will lead a team of hardworking individuals ensuring their success and safety across all areas of the Distribution Centre. You’ll also,
·         Ensure that all activities carried out in your team meet our Journey to Zero safety objectives of making sure everyone in our DC goes home safely every day.
·         Assist your People Leader in the planning and coordinating of daily operations and specific functional areas within the Distribution Centre.
·         Engage in regular team meetings and one on one discussions with your team.
·         Create a high-performing culture in your team by developing your people and creating high engagement
·         Manage the high performance and disciplinary functions of a large 15+ team.
·         Lead and role model the Foodstuffs North Island values
 
This role will cover our afternoon shift on a Sunday to Thursday roster (Sundays 8am to 4:30pm & Mon to Thurs 2pm to 10:30pm)

The ideal candidate for this role will:
·         Have working experience in a DC environment
·         Have some leadership experience (preferred but not essential)
·         Be a strong and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
·         Be self-motivated, organised, and effectively able to prioritise workload
·         Be a member of the team that goes above and beyond for your team and colleagues.
·         Be highly engaged and focused on continuous improvement across the team
