Te Tūranga – About the role 
As a Depot Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our Whangārei Transport Depot, ensuring safety, efficiency, and team performance. You'll manage resources, drive continuous improvement, and foster a high-performing culture aligned with our Foodies values. You’ll also:
·         Champion a safety-first culture – Home Safe Every Day
·         Manage workforce planning, equipment, and customer support functions
·         Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the site
·         Maintain performance within budget, challenging inefficiencies
·         Foster a high-performing team culture aligned with our Journey to Zero strategy
·         Monitor and address site issues including people, fleet, and safety
·         Collaborate with internal teams and regional stakeholders to meet transport needs
·         Provide expert guidance on transport processes and industry best practice
·         Ensure compliance with company policies, safety plans, and legislation
·         This role is based on a 40-hour week - Monday to Friday 2am to 10:30am

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
·         Experience working in a Supply Chain environment (Transport experience is an advantage!)
·         Proven strategic leadership and people management experience
·         Strong planning, communication and computing skills
·         Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation
·         Ability to manage high workloads while remaining flexible and responsive
·         Detail-oriented with strong organisational and logistical capabilities
·         Results-driven with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
·         Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively
