We have a newly created role for a Strategic Planning & Portfolio Manager to join our Merchandise team.
 
What you’re responsible for:
·       Establishing credibility as a trusted partner with key stakeholders across the wider business to ensure strategic customer centric decisions are made, and alignment is achieved.
·       Work closely with EPMO to support an enterprise-integrated planning process.
·       Collaborate with the Merchandise Leadership Team to understand, shape, manage and deliver Merchandise driven or supported project requirements and translate into the rolling 8Q plan which you will also own.
·       Communicate with all stakeholders and steering committees according to the scope, nature and frequency required by the project.
·       Managing timeframes, resourcing, processes and documentation.
·       Delivering on budget, benefits and reporting mandates.
·       Ensuring Merch priorities are clear to all stakeholders and are represented across other portfolios of work.
·       Defining quality, risk, issue and change management practices across your projects/programmes.
·       Delivering the Merch category review program.
·       Driving and owning strategic review decks and engagement forums.
·       Leading continuous improvement across merch project management, processes and tools.
 
We’re looking for a highly experienced strategic planner who has:
·       Exceptional strategic thinking and experience working in medium to large enterprises, ideally in the retail or FMCG space.
·       Proven experience managing and delivery strategic projects.
·       A strong track record in people leadership including managing diversity in all its forms, and the ability to effectively maintain relationships and influence your immediate team, key stakeholders and the senior leadership team.
·       Great commercial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate the financial and commercial implications of decisions.
·       You’ll be technologically savvy – able to understand IT project enablers for Merch.
·       You’ll be a good mix of big picture, high level thinker and hands on doer.
