Te Tūranga – About the role

Are you ready to dive into the engine room of one of New Zealand’s most iconic and future-focused organisations? As a Quality Assurance Engineer in our Agile Delivery Squad, you'll do far more than test — you'll champion quality from the very beginning of every sprint. You’ll be right at the heart of delivery, helping us build robust SAP solutions and complex technical integrations that power the retail experiences of millions of Kiwis.

Part of both your squad and our dynamic FSNI QA Practice, you’ll blend analytical thinking, technical precision, and a team-first mindset to ensure we deliver work that’s not just complete — but genuinely high quality. From functional test planning to automation-first execution, you’ll be setting the standard for excellence while keeping things fresh, fun, and fast-moving.

In this role, you’ll:
-       Be a hands-on QA expert embedded in an Agile squad, owning test planning and execution for everything from interfaces to integrations.
-       Drive an automation-first mindset, building and enhancing test automation harnesses across SAP and beyond.
-       Work closely with Product Owners and Engineers to ensure defect-free delivery with a proactive, solution-first attitude.
-       Be a key voice in both the squad and FSNI QA Practice — sharing ideas, evolving processes, and shaping how we deliver quality at scale.
-       Lead quality initiatives across complex SAP environments — and maybe even run your own test environment.

Ngā painga - What we offer

-      Free carparking -we’ve got over 1,000 carparks, including 36 free EV plugs

-      Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday, long service leave
-      In-house learning and development programmes and courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes).

He kōrero mōu - About you

You’re a quality champion with a sharp technical edge — someone who thrives in Agile environments, brings people together, and knows SAP inside and out. From Procure to Pay processes to EDI integrations and Fiori front-end testing, you’re confident across the testing lifecycle and bring a proactive, collaborative mindset to everything you do.

You love digging into the detail — whether it’s mapping out complex system integrations on a whiteboard, managing test data, or guiding third-party vendors toward seamless delivery. With a strong understanding of common software faults, test environments, and automation practices, you're just as comfortable hands-on with the tech as you are coaching your squadmates or engaging stakeholders.

You’ll bring:
-       Proven testing experience across SAP Retail/SD and Procure to Pay, with a deep understanding of pricing, invoicing, billing, and EDI integration
-       Solid grasp of the full SAP system implementation lifecycle — from requirements analysis and functional design to documentation, testing, and support
-       Experience with Fiori app testing across various devices, browsers, and environments, as well as integration and test data management
-       Agile delivery expertise (Scrum or Kanban), with strong skills in test planning, defect management, and stakeholder engagement
-       A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional squads and third-party vendors to ensure seamless, quality delivery along with a knack for problem-solving and knowledge sharing, with experience mentoring others and contributing to QA best practices
-       The ability to confidently visualise, communicate, and map complex technical environments and system integrations

It’s a bonus if you also have:
-       Experience with automated testing tools such as TOSCA
-       Familiarity with HPQC, Jira, or similar tools
-       SAP certification in any module
-       Experience in the fast-paced FMCG sector
