About the role
 
This role is essential to ensure that our customers have a great online shopping experience. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts. You will be required to test perform and define manual tests based on requirements within sprint and automate them. You will be part of a customer focused, high performing IT Testing team. You will contribute to a high performing culture and build Test Automation capability within FSNI. Our key objective is to deliver best in class applications to drive our business forward.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
-     Working with key stakeholders to identify and define the required test requirements, test environments and test scope
-     Determining expected test results and documenting them in test cases / automating where appropriate (defined by FSNI Test Policy)
-     Developing/maintaining a library of testing scripts and procedures in a way that they can be reused as efficiently as possible
-     Testing the functionality developed within Sprint, and making sure that it works as per business requirements
-     Performs additional exploratory/risk-based testing
-     Making sure that Test Automation standards & best practices are followed
-     Making sure that automated test cases are linked to the business needs
-     Consolidating existing and building new Test Automation frameworks from scratch in order to provide a consistent testing capability
-     Working closely with other members of Agile Development team
 
About you
 
You’ll be excited and passionate about doing your job and constantly improving your knowledge. You will have testing experience on complex projects. You’ll have excellent communication skills as there are multiple touch points across the business.
 
To be successful in application for this position, you will have the following competencies:
 
- Experience as a test automation engineer, with the ability to do manual testing
-   Expert knowledge of Test automation frameworks using commercial and open-source solutions (Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber (Spec Flow), BDD, TDD, Applitools, TestNG, JUnit, Sauce Labs etc.)
-  Expert knowledge of API testing frameworks and tools (REST Assured, Unirest (RestSharp), Postman, Maven (NuGet))
-   Good knowledge of CI practices, source code/version control and deployment tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, …)
-  Proven Test Automation/manual experience on complex projects
- Creating frameworks from scratch/refactoring / existing framework improvement experience
- Expertise in testing management practices
- Great working knowledge of Agile/Scaled agile practices/environments
 
Desirable:
-     ISTQB Certification (foundation level or above)
-     Experience with digital (online e-commerce) software 
-     Exposure to SAP Modules 
-     Experience with TOSCA
