Senior Backend Node.JS Engineer

As a software engineer at Formidable, you will use a modern JavaScript stack to implement new applications, features, and tools for some of the largest and most successful companies in the world. You will embed deeply in client teams where our engineers are regarded as technical leaders. You'll also have the opportunity to work on community-leading open-source projects. Working with other Formidables, you are guaranteed to stay on top of industry trends and tools, and to constantly cultivate your skill set.

You are someone who builds production-ready web services using the latest node frameworks and libraries. You write discoverable and consistent APIs and you take pride in writing well-tested and readable code.

You have:
• High degree of fluency in JavaScript, with knowledge of the good and bad parts.
• Experience with Git and code collaboration in teams.
• Demonstrable ability to learn quickly.
• Extensive experience with the modern web application stack:
▾ Node.js frameworks like Express and Hapi
▾ Persistence layers like MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Extra credit:
- Experience leading teams.
- Contributed to open source NPM packages.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Building systems on cloud infrastructure.
