JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future and For Our Future Action Fund seeks a Data Manager to manage our state data & analytics support program in Nevada. The Data Manager works to ensure that state programs have ample data resources to effectively run robust direct contact as well as digital organizing activity. In addition, they will work with other departments to develop tools and resources needed for targeting, goal setting, programmatic planning, budget tracking, and compliance. They will also take the lead in managing For Our Future Nevada’s direct voter contact CRMs (VAN, Thrutext, Thrutalk, etc.) systems. This position reports to the State Director.

This is a full-time position through at least November 17, 2022.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Utilize and maintain best practices and standards for data collection, data acquisition, and preservation across all programs in Nevada.
    • Work closely with the Nevada field and digital team, state leadership, as well as the national FOF Data Department, to establish effective systems to track and evaluate progress to goal for the organization, staff, and partners.
    • Serve as the primary data point of contact for voter contact CRM systems Manage Nevada’s data support programs, including providing training and resources, and troubleshooting for the management of their data & analytics projects concerning state .Assist with script approvals and budget tracking for direct voter contact platforms used for direct voter contact.
    • Promote a strong and inclusive culture and support a team that is mission-driven, well-trained, and set up for success.
    • Positively represent the organization at virtual and in-person community events and coalition meetings. 
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as designated by the State Director.

Skills and Qualifications

    • At least two cycles of competitive campaign, organizing or advocacy experience, required. Previous data management experience on an electoral or issue-based field campaign, strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in VAN, Microsoft  Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with SQL a plus)Demonstrated knowledge of effective and successful data driven electoral field plans, including targeting, voter contact, GOTV, and best practices with each.
    • Proficiency in training and coaching staff and volunteers required; experience training on & communicating technical subject matter (i.e. VAN, Excel) to varying audiences, verbally or written, strongly preferred.
    • Experience managing support requests, preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds, including the ability to relay programmatic details to external and independent partners, funders and non-technical audiences.
    • An ability to work within and adapt to a changing political and policy landscape.
    • Ability to develop short- and long-term program plans, set objectives and metrics, track progress toward achieving objectives, and align those strategies with other progressive efforts in state. Familiarity with the Nevada progressive landscape; localized knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
    • Enthusiasm for building progressive power.
    • A solutions-oriented approach and a willingness to take initiative and think critically.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, and an ability to meet deadlines, while juggling several priorities that may change quickly. 

The salary for this position is based on experience and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.

Expected Hours of Work

    • Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights. 
    • Employees may be required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take more than 2 days off consecutively during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.

Technology will be provided to employees who need it.

 WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees will be required to work and interact, in an office environment or otherwise, with coworkers, volunteers, voters, or community partners on a regular basis. If state and government stay-at-home orders, phased reopening orders, or other factors related to the COVID-19 virus (or any other reason) limit For Our Future’s ability to engage safely in in-person work, employees may be assigned other duties to be conducted from their homes.
