Job Summary 
Are you passionate about advancing progressive change in the states, expanding the electorate, and defeating Republican rhetoric? For Our Future and For Our Future Action Fund seek a talented digital strategist to help grow an innovative digital organizing program in critical battleground states.
The Digital Organizing Manager will play an integral role in developing creative content, harnessing digital organizing tools, and supporting our states –from Nevada to Florida–on best practices to developing digital organizing programs. You will work closely with our national digital director to evaluate and support digital state programs, draft  content that motivates people to take actions and vote, and assist with  paid digital work such as SMS and layered ads.
Our ideal candidate should have experience writing and editing SMS scripts, management in digital organizing tools (Spoke, Thrive, Reach, etc.), copyediting email, or digital advertising for a campaign, non-profit, or other mission-focused organization. We’re looking for an organizer with an eye for digital content, a passion for bringing new people into volunteering opportunities, and an understanding of the connection between people and messages that drive action–in both paid and organic content. 
This is a full-time position that lasts at least through November 11, 2022. 

Essential Functions

    • Support day-to-day digital organizing responsibilities  for state digital programs to reach their voter engagement and contact goals.
    • Work with state digital teams to support core field program needs around digital organizing channels and driving people into field contact.
    • Develop and maintain support/training around HQ and state digital tools ranging from SMS to event management tools.
    • Facilitate reporting for paid digital C3, C4, and PAC projects. 
    • Cross-functional support of all digital needs.
    • Assist the National Digital Director in working with vendors, and our data, field, communications, compliance, and legal department members as necessary to fulfill projects.
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Skills and Qualifications

    • At least  two cycles or 2-5 years of digital experience in a political, electoral, organizing, or progressive issue campaign environment.
    • Possesses a clear sense of social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, as well digital organizing tools like P2P texting software, MobilizeAmerica, and relational platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, be flexible, organized, self-motivated, and adaptive to meet project needs.
    • A passion for progressive causes and politics and alignment with our mission. Has a background in, or strong familiarity in and interest with movements for progressive social change, and political, labor, or issue campaigns.
    •  Demonstrates diplomacy, respect, and sound judgment.
    • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
    • Experience with website development and design is a plus.

The salary for this position is based on experience and comes with a comprehensive benefits package:

Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • This position is based in our Washington, DC headquarters, which is currently remote and will have a remote option through at least December 2022.  Employees will therefore work and interact primarily in a virtual environment for the duration of this temporary position, unless extended. Employees may be required to periodically travel to and/or work out of office locations in Washington, DC or at our state offices around the country.

Expected Hours of Work

    • Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time Monday thru Friday, however employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and nights.
    • Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take more than 2 days off consecutively during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
