POSITION CLASSIFICATION
For Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 2304, a labor union. This position is part of the union-represented collective bargaining unit, and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future Nevada seeks part-time temporary Phone Bankers for a voter education program. Phone Bankers will be responsible for contacting targeted voters to educate them on how to vote by mail and have their voices be heard in the November general election. Phone Bankers will work under the immediate supervision of the State Field Director and Field Organizers. Those with previous canvassing and/or phone banking experience are encouraged to apply!

This position is anticipated to run through at least November 14, 2024.

Essential Functions

    • Serving on the front lines of a statewide community outreach program, through phone banking and text messages.
    • Building strong relationships with community members to educate them on critical election administration changes affecting all voters.
    • Collecting data from community members with timely and accurate data entry of engagement activities whether in VAN or other CRM platforms.
    • Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly goals are met and exceeded.

Skills and Qualifications

    • Access to a reliable internet connection, preferred.
    • Ability to work long and irregular hours in a highly productive, metrics-driven work environment and ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
    • 1 cycle of campaign experience OR previous community organizing experience, preferred.
    • Works well independently and within a remote team setting.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and outgoing personality.
    • Bilingual is a plus, but not required.

Expected Work Hours

    • Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, holidays, and nights.
    • Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
    • Part time Phone Bankers must work our set 27.5 hours per week, including Saturdays.
$21.94 - $21.94 an hour
Work Environment
Canvassing is considered an essential function of this job. Employees may be required to work in extreme weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. This position is expected to interact regularly face-to-face with voters, volunteers or community partners. If state and government stay-at-home orders, phased reopening orders, or other factors related to the COVID-19 virus (or any other reason) limit For Our Future’s ability to engage safely in in-person work, employees may be assigned other duties to be conducted from their homes.
