Perception Software Engineer - ML Ops

RRAI is actively looking for an experienced ML-Ops Engineer to join our Perception Team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge perception solutions for autonomous systems. The ideal candidate should possess a robust skill set, particularly in crafting end-to-end infrastructure that seamlessly supports the entire lifecycle of machine learning (ML) models deployed in real-world environments.

Tele-work Opportunities: Remote with some travel required (up to 10%)

To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Position Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and improve our existing data collection and annotation pipelines
    • Maintain and improve our existing model testing and deployment infrastructure
    • Work cross functionally to support the exploration and development of new state-of-the-art perception models
    • Support on-going model lifecycle developments

Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong programming experience in Python
    • Familiarity with modern C++
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools
    • Strong background in cloud infrastructure and AWS in particular
    • Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
    • Strong experience working on a software development team
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson family of devices
    • Familiarity with ROS (either ros1 or ros2)
    • Experience in production robotics is a plus

Education and Experience:

    • BS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent amount of relevant industry experience
    • 4+ years of industry experience
