Job Summary: Develop, monitor and adjust a year-long individualized Professional Development Plan for all teachers. The Master Teacher will also utilize the following strategies to guide and support all teachers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Instructional Materials Training in Physical Education
    • On-going Professional Development (in collaboration with School Leaders, Chief Academic Officer, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction)
    • Co-Planning (year-long pacing & weekly lesson plans development and feedback)
    • Co-Teaching & Demonstration Lessons
    • Lesson Observation & Feedback
    • Weekly Achievement Data Analysis, Reflection & Feedback
    • Provide technical support in the use of Technology including, but not limited to Illuminate and Chromebooks
    • Serve as Field Supervisor for Intern Teachers
    • Weekly Report/Check-in with School Leaders on progress of Teachers
    • Instruct Pre-Service/DI courses as necessary

Qualifications:

    • Valid California Teaching Credential - Single Subject Physical Education credential required.

Minimum Education Level

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Working Conditions:

    • Office environment: constant interruptions.
    • Outdoor environment: driving a personal vehicle to conduct work; visit school sites; travel to other organizations and companies; meetings and workshops.

Physical Abilities:

    • Hearing and speaking to conduct group training; exchange information in person, electronically, and on the telephone.
    • Ability to read printed material and computer screens.
    • Ability to hear and comprehend speech at normal volumes.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
    • Kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies.
    • Ability to climb stairs, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds.

$71,002 - $97,959 a year
Compensation is based on the approved Teacher Salary Schedule with an adjustment to 12 month working period.
