Rex and Margaret Fortune School of Education is a comprehensive education system including, non-profit preschools, a network of tuition-free, public charter schools (TK-12th), and a school of education with a masters programs and educator preparations programs accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. in Sacramento/San Bernardino County. We prepare students for college starting in preschool Transitional Kindergarten in San Bernardino and Sacramento Counties and are focused on closing the African American achievement gap.

Requirements: Multi-Subject and Single Subject Credentialed Field Supervisors

    • Ideal workload per trimester:
    • 2 Informal collaborations - (Meeting options include in-person, phone, or remote)
    • 1-2 Formal Observations- (In person)
    • 1-2 Video Observations- (Remote)
    • (review and grade lesson plans and final intern reflection submissions)

Requirements: Education Specialist Credentialed Field Supervisors

    • Ideal workload per trimester:
    • 2 Informal collaborations - (Meeting options include in-person, phone, or remote)
    • 2 Formal Observations- (In person)
    • 2 Video Observations- (Remote)
    • (Review and grade lesson plans and final intern reflection submissions)

Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in education or related field from a regionally accredited university.
    • A clear California teaching credential – Single Subject: Math OR a California Administrative Services credential.
    • Exemplary record of teaching.
    • Successful experience coaching/mentoring beginning teachers.
    • Experience utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and funds of community cultural wealth.
    • Experience utilizing alternative forms of assessment with K-12 grade-levels and ability to guide district interns in the development and use of standards-based assessments.
    • Ability to provide resources for addressing the needs of English Learners and Students with Special Needs.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
    • Degree Verification Requirement: The desired candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for degree verification.

$44 per video submission (2 required)
$33 per informal supervision (5 required)
