Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Civil Engineer for civil and marine infrastructure engineering services who is looking for new learning experiences, an opportunity for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. The position will be located at our Petaluma, CA location. This position would require local travel of 50% or more to project sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide construction support services on local Bay area projects
    • Perform coastal conditions calculations and structural analyses to develop/review design drawings for various types of marine infrastructure projects
    • Help with planning, engineering, construction, and rehabilitation of various coastal shoreline protection and stabilization projects, along with marine/waterfront structures
    • Work closely with Project Managers to establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
    • Develop construction documents including plans and specifications
    • Maintain knowledge of existing and proposed regulations (California strongly preferred) related to marine infrastructure and coastal engineering
    • Work with Foth’s Technical Competency Leaders and discipline leaders to develop Foth's technical library for waterfront projects
    • Develop and continuously improve standard work practices
    • Prepare/review technical approaches and proposals for projects and/or coastal engineering tasks supporting large multi-disciplinary projects

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine, or Ocean Engineering
    • 3+ years of professional experience
    • Experience with providing construction administration and management services
    • Experience developing construction documents including plans and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of professional experience
    • Professional Engineer license in the state of California, or ability to obtain within 24 months of eligibility
    • Previous experience with integrating complex engineering and environmental sciences on marine projects
$85,000 - $115,000 a year
