What your role will be
As an Associate Product Manager, you will be critical to guiding TMIK through one of the most exciting times - continuing to build their flagship app product and website. You will be part of a small, tight knit group of people with passion for what they do and lots of media experience (Vogue, Guardian, Founders Factory). The CEO, Emily Sheffield has twenty years of experience in the media, including former Deputy Editor and Digital Director of Vogue, columnist Evening Standard and Sky News.

What your mission will be
Mainstream media is not engaging millennials. There is a lack of innovation in delivery and an endless cycle of hyped negativity. This Much I Know is solving this problem by building an interactive global news community that helps drive positive change. And engages its community in campaigns around the big issues of the day. The style of our delivery is digestible, immediate, dynamic and always interactive. We have live apps on Google Play and Apple Store, a growing newsletter, website, podcast and instagram community. We recently won a NESTA government grant for innovation. Your scope will be to help deliver these products inline with the mission, user needs, data, timelines and industry insight. You will be part of a fast-paced, fun, supportive environment with lots of opportunities to get involved in various strategic and operational initiatives.

🙌 The role
Understand the users’ needs, the company’s strategy, the business metrics and what is happening in the fast paced industry that is media

Communicate vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements inline with the desired timelines and impact

Supporting prioritisation of the product backlog in consultation with key stakeholders.

Ensure working with the CEO and CTO that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on

Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

Provide backlog management, sprint/ iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories. 

Obsess about impactful improvements to the users’ experience and business metrics.

Embrace a "buck stops here" and honest attitude: be proactive in removing blockers and contribute in raising team performance and implement best practices

Huge passion for digital products and media.

Someone who thrives in working in a small but effective team

At least 1 year of product management experience in a fast paced Agile/Lean environment

Experience with creating and maintaining backlogs, writing user stories and sprint planning

Experience in delivering app and web user facing product or supporting delivery

Experience in working with cross functional development teams

Experience in User Acceptance Testing a plus

Understanding of Agile /Lean methodologies

Effective at creating and maintaining relationships

Loves great problems.

You know how to uncover the jobs users have and how to go about finding the right solution.

Articulates the voice of the user.

£30,000 per annum pro rata
28 days paid holiday annually
