We are a rapidly expanding, US Private Equity backed, high-growth software as a service (SaaS) business based in Macclesfield. An exciting business with continuous growth plans for the next few years, this role reports into our Treasury Manager providing a strong mentor and succession plan for future growth.

This opportunity will allow you to build on your current knowledge whilst gaining a wider understanding of accounting and related commercial exposure

The role . . .

    • Accurately record all financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, in the accounting system, verifying the completeness and correctness of supporting documentation for each transaction, and ensuring timely and accurate posting of bank transactions to maintain up-to-date financial records.
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts, identifying and investigating discrepancies between bank statements and internal records, resolving any outstanding items and ensuring reconciliation reports are completed within established timelines.
    • Monitor cash balances across various accounts and currencies, assisting in optimizing cash flow by preparing cash forecasts and identifying opportunities to improve liquidity management.
    • Provide administrative assistance to the finance team as needed, including filing, data entry, and document preparation, and assisting with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate and organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including accounting, treasury, and other departments, to resolve issues and address inquiries related to banking and treasury operations, and communicate effectively with external parties, such as banks and vendors, to facilitate efficient banking transactions and resolve any issues.

The ideal candidate . . .

    • 1-3 years of experience in treasury operations, banking, or finance administration preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with NetSuite is a plus).
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
    • Familiarity with global banking and multicurrency transactions is desirable.
