Frankly is looking for a Release Engineer. You will report to the Head of Apps Engineering and work closely with Engineering, QA, Release Management, and Product Management.

DEVELOP, MAINTAIN AND ENHANCE:

    • The toolchain for delivering thousands of apps to the stores
    • Toolsets to take approved versions of source code and deliver thousands of permutations every 1 to 3 weeks
    • Processes to collect, store, and organize necessary data, defined by Product, Marketing, and Engineering to manage customer metadata for each release
    • Processes used by internal and offshore teams, documenting, streamlining, and normalizing them across teams
    • Test systems to ensure 99.99%+ accuracy and correctness of released configurations and builds to delivery
    • APIs to enable building self-service provisioning tools for businesses, as well as, internal tools to further enable internal stakeholders to more closely manage customer metadata

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The toolchain for delivering thousands of apps to the stores
    • Toolsets to take approved versions of source code and deliver thousands of permutations every 1 to 3 weeks
    • Processes to collect, store, and organize necessary data, defined by Product, Marketing, and Engineering to manage customer metadata for each release
    • Processes used by internal and offshore teams, documenting, streamlining, and normalizing them across teams
    • Test systems to ensure 99.99%+ accuracy and correctness of released configurations and builds to delivery
    • APIs to enable building self-service provisioning tools for businesses, as well as, internal tools to further enable internal stakeholders to more closely manage customer metadata

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

    • Comfortable with Ruby On Rails
    • Proficient in delivery tool chains
    • Familiar with signing and delivery of Android and iOS apps
    • Proficient and proactive in documenting technical details about the release toolchain to help with cross-team education and issue analysis
    • Comfortable with building dashboards to help visualize status and progress across the toolchain
    • Detail and process oriented
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

    • Used Fastlane's toolset for shipping mobile apps to app stores
    • Worked with delivery of Apple TV, Fire TV, Alexa, Roku, Chromecast, Hisense, Samsung, Xbox, or Playstation apps
    • Jenkins experience
