The Product Owner of Business Intelligence is responsible for collaborating with the business to define FreedomPay’s BI analytics suite of tools, enabling merchants to transform their data from transactional to informational.
 
This is inclusive of working with stake holders, internally and externally, to define the vision of the product and services, collaborating with senior management across the organization to ensure financial and consumer goals are accomplished.  The role helps ensure the company’s overall strategy and goals are supported by the product, and the product’s goals and strategy doesn’t deviate from that of the business and industry direction.

Primary Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

    • Take lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
    • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements 
    • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
    • Ensure successful integration with FreedomPay’s Value Added Services (VAS) products
    • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
    • Define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities 
    • Competitive research/analysis of BI tools and concepts
    • Work with various stakeholders to develop strategy for Sales and Marketing
    • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
    • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
    • Create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
    • Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
    • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
    • Research and analyze market, the users, and the road-map for the product

Required Experience and Skills

    • Five or more years of experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics
    • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 2 years
    • MA in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
    • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles 
    • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
