The Platform Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance and health of FreedomPay’s production systems. We are seeking a Platform Operations Manager local to our office in Philadelphia to lead and continue building the team that supports FreedomPay’s continued growth.
Responsibilities (Included but not limited to)
- Ensuring FreedomPay’s products and processes are operating in an optimal fashion while working with groups throughout the FreedomPay ecosystem.
- Establishing productive peer relationships with FreedomPay’s partners and acquirers
- Growing a team that provides supports for FreedomPay’s US markets and is adaptable to the variety of daily challenges.
- Building a cohesive team across multiple markets with a close relationship with the European Platform Operations Managers.
- Managing a rotational schedule that covers the overnight platform operations responsibilities.
Key Qualities
- 5-10 years of experience leading a team of engineers in a production support environment
- A collaborative work approach that is effective with various stakeholders and teams throughout the organization.
- Ensure sufficient knowledge and provide coaching amongst team members
- Ability to identify process deficiencies and raise solutions to colleagues and management.
- Strong management instincts that ensures work is completed in a timely manner and prioritized appropriately
- Experience working with cross functional teams such a Development and QA.
Required Skills
- Experience with platform or software as a service.
- Experience with Application Performance Management products such as New Relic or Dynatrace.
- Experience leveraging trace log analytic tools. Splunk or Loggly.
- Strong problem-solving abilities identifying issues that cross product or system boundaries.
- Proficient in SQL and Powershell, Python and equivalent scripting languages.
- Experience building application alerts and monitors for expected adverse events.
- Experience supporting processes that facilitate settlement funding.
- Inter-personal skills that fosters a culture of learning and growth amongst the Platform Operations team.
- Have maintained a documentation with standard processes to keep content up to date.
- Cloud technology proficiency
