POSITION OVERVIEW
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units. 
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriateAnalyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. 
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. 
Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work.
This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use. 
Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work, relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason. 
Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits. 
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). 
Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. 
Reviews and approves salary adjustments. 
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. 
Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters. 
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. 
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. 
Performs other related duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 4 professional experience in Human Resources
SPHR or PHR certification strongly preferred
HR Generalist background with experience in benefit planning cost containment, compensation, payroll, and HRISManagement/leadership experience required
A track record of leadership, including the ability to encourage, motivate, manage conflict, team build, mentor, coach, set goals, prioritize and plan
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and effectively communicate tough messages to diverse audiences
Proven ability to hire, develop, engage, and retain high-performing teams
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop long-term plans and execute against goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing entrepreneurial organization
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects

$65,000 - $96,800 a year
Salary range determined by years of experience
