People, Commercial and Organization /

Since 1999, we have been pioneers in the development of large-scale Internet systems. As a technology company, we firmly believe that technology improves our future. For every digital challenge, there is a brilliant mind to solve it. A pioneer who dares to think bigger.

Today, freiheit.com is home to over 160 experienced software engineers from around the world. We are extremely well organized, yet we haven't lost our entrepreneurial charm. Every day we strive to learn new things, share our knowledge and always outgrow ourselves. Our hacker culture is shaped by a hunger for knowledge and a willingness to change in an open, personal and idea-driven environment.

From our engineering hubs in Hamburg and Lisbon, we work to redefine the future for large and medium-sized companies through technology. We enjoy developing outstanding solutions to complex problems in small teams and shaping the future ourselves with great software products. That's why well-known companies entrust us with their most important projects.

The way of working has changed a lot in the past years. Remote work has become a part of everyday work and will continue to be a part of our collaboration in the future. Nevertheless, time we can spend together in person has remained a strong value of our community.

For our team in Hamburg, in the heart of St. Pauli, we are looking for a Learning & Development Expert (m/f/d) starting as soon as possible:

    • What drives us all is the common desire to constantly learn, improve and grow personally. The question you always ask yourself: What do we need to do to bring our engineers, the team, the community to the next level?
    • As part of our People Team, you will continuously develop our learning & development strategy. You will work closely with our Management Team and Team Leads.
    • You are the "go-to person" for learning & development. You directly support our Engineering Teams and Team Leads with their personal and team development (e.g. coaching, team workshops, etc.).
    • You design and conduct trainings and other measures within our personal development program on topics like communication, leadership, team development, etc. You help to get our engineers out of their "comfort zone" and give them the chance to grow beyond themselves.
    • At freiheit.com we aim at giving each other feedback as frequently as possible - on the job and also in our bi-annual performance reviews. With your help we will expand and further develop our feedback culture.

    • You are passionate about digital technology and have a basic understanding of modern software engineering.
    • You have an excellent university degree in the field of psychology, education or business and can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the field of learning and development, e.g. as a Trainer.
    • You have profound knowledge and experience with designing, implementing and moderating various training and workshop formats.
    • You have excellent communication and presentation skills (company language is English). You are inspiring, assertive and present yourself confidently in front of a group.
    • You proactively drive your topics and take over responsibility to shape and make decisions. Thereby you can always rely on your excellent organizational skills.
    • You are empathetic, can put yourself in the shoes of your colleagues and understand their concerns. Through your practical experience, you have tools and methods at hand to support your colleagues in mastering their challenges.
    • You are willing to learn something new every day and improve continuously. You have the talent to turn challenging situations into positive and constructive learning experiences for yourself and others.
    • You are honest and have a sense of humor. You don't want just any job, but you want to make a difference with your ideas and your skills.

Over 85% of our colleagues are engineers with excellent university degrees in computer science, mathematics or physics. A compact commercial team accompanies the software development by effectively managing all commercial processes around our projects. Our open office is located in the heart of Hamburg in the middle of St. Pauli. The central meeting point is 6Fwd - our social area with a panoramic view over Hamburg. This is where our events like HackerTalks, RPG and poker nights or jam sessions take place. And of course our legendary barbecue parties and culture nights.

Then send us your complete application documents (curriculum vitae and references) via email or our application portal. And if you have any questions about your application or the application process, Lena Oechtering is available on +49 40/890584-0.
