Role overview

Given our exciting and progressive growth plans,  we are looking for an exceptional VP of Marketing (Brand and Communications) to come and join our global business.

Reporting directly into the CEO, and working collaboratively with the wider marketing team, CX, Commercial and Product, you will be accountable for growing Fresha’s brand across our key territories

What you will be doing

    • Department - Lead the Brand Marketing and Public Relations (PR) team and oversee all brand marketing and PR activities, including brand strategy, content, social media, PR and partnerships.
    • Strategy - Direct the development and implementation of integrated brand marketing and public relations strategies aligned with the Fresha’s objectives and target market.
    • Public Relations - Identify, nurture and leverage key media relations, create and distribute announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities.
    • PR Campaigns - Drive the planning and execution of high-impact PR campaigns, product launches, events, and initiatives to generate excitement around our brand and product.
    • Brand consistency - Define and manage the brand positioning, messaging, and voice across all channels and touchpoints to ensure consistency and coherence.
    • External Relationships - Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and press mentions.
    • Brand innovation - Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and innovation.
    • Data and insights - Track, analyse, and report on the performance of brand marketing and PR activities, leveraging data and insights to optimise strategies and tactics.
    • Budget management - Manage budgets, resources, and external agencies/vendors effectively to maximise ROI and achieve objectives within established timelines and goals.
    • Leadership - Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of brand marketing and PR professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaboration - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and integration of brand messaging and initiatives.

What we are looking for

    • Experience - 10+ years proven experience in a similar role in a hyper-growth company.
    • Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Public Relations),  MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Strategy development - Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing strategic brand marketing and PR initiatives that drive measurable results and impact.
    • Project management - Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop, manage, and execute multiple projects, engaging internal and external stakeholders and delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
    • Stakeholder engagement - Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
    • Leadership - Strong executive leadership abilities with proven experience working alongside C, VP and Director level positions, as well as managing and inspiring teams to deliver excellence and achieve objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Communication - Excellent communication skills, including exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strategic thinker - Strategic thinker with a data-driven, analytical mindset and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
    • Technologically proficient - Proficiency in leveraging a variety of marketing and PR tools and platforms, including PR distribution services, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
    • Creativity - Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to staying ahead of trends and best practices in brand marketing and PR.
    • Agile - Thrives working in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Interview Process

    • Screening stage: Initial call with a member of the Talent Team - 30 mins
    • 1st stage: Video call interview with Chief People Officer - 45 min 
    • 2nd stage: Video call interview with Leadership team - 45 min 
    • Final stage: In-person interview, presenting your response to a case study brief, with Q&A to a panel including CEO, Chief People Officer and other leadership team members - 90 min

    • We aim to complete the entire interview process and deliver feedback within 1 week
