Please join us on developing an innovative product. Proclaim’s hardware team is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to fill in this important part of the team.

What you will do:

    • Specify, design, verify, and validate products in accordance with medical regulatory standards
    • Lead and design specific parts and systems
    • Conduct FMEAs, develop test protocols and reports
    • Integrate ID and function into mechanical CAD
    • Develop work instructions and drawings
    • Write and submit Engineering Change Orders
    • Work closely with our contract manufacturer during builds to identify areas of improvement and assist with the development of operations tools & processes
    • Work closely with Quality & Operations teams to evaluate Supplier capabilities, in support of building a robust Supply Chain

Required profile/experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering or scientific discipline)
    • 7+ years of related work experience
    • Experience in developing, testing, and launching medical devices
    • Experience with achieving functional safety certifications such as Ul and IEC
    • Strong understanding of processes and materials used in medical devices
    • Strong understanding of the injection mold process. Experience in DFM, fit check, FAI and Cpk.
    • Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stacking
    • Basic working knowledge of EE, RF, and electro-mechanical systems necessary to support EE-ME cross-functional effort
    • Understanding of BOM/PLM management
    • Good Verbal and written communication skills
    • Fluent in Solidworks
    • Experience in communicating and managing overseas suppliers.
    • Experience in onsite troubleshooting during the builds and coming out with solutions for both short and long term.

$130,000 - $170,000 a year
