Fullscreen’s Rooster Teeth Studio is a fast paced, rapidly growing team that creates award winning shows and feature length productions targeting gamers, anime fans and a wide range of others for both it’s own web platforms and others including YouTube, Netflix, Go90 and CrunchyRoll.   We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join our marketing team. An ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience cutting their teeth in entertainment PR, writing zinging pitches and bowling over journalists all over the world.  We are looking for someone ready to bring bright ideas, media savvy, and a strong rolodex of journalist-friends to our growing consumer/business to business PR efforts.  We’re seeking a PR professional with a keen understanding of social media and the ways it can be leveraged for maximum coverage. We’re a small team and we will also need this person to help organize and coordinate the details surrounding all PR initiatives (that means media lists)!

Responsibilities

    • Supporting PR efforts for all of Rooster Teeth including but not limited to trade, sales, programming, talent, thought leadership, live events, local, gaming and e-commerce announcements and projects
    • Supporting all integrated marketing efforts with social media, content, and other marketing teams
    • Creative ideas and applications for PR that integrate social
    • Distribution of programming clips, tune-ins, announcements
    • Developing talent profiles and securing regular opportunities for talent
    • Keeping PR processes and projects streamlined and well-organized
    • Creation of reporting materials
    • Researching and executing special projects as assigned
    • Media list creation and maintenance
    • Maintaining lists for awards, events, and speaking opportunities
    • Submitting for awards, events, and speaking opportunitiesPitching media via email and phone calls
    • Media relations with consumer and business media outlets
    • Influencer relations
    • Researching media outlets and writers for new opportunities
    • Updating status reports and other reporting materials
    • Tracking editorial calendars and identifying editorial opportunities
    • Preparing internal decks and presentations as needed
    • Producing and coordinating the creation of PR assets such as photos, clips, press kits, and b-roll video
    • Coordinating press conferences and special events
    • Coordinating and managing press interviews
    • Some travel coordination

Qualifications

    • 2-3 years experience (and/or relevant internships)
    • Must be extremely detail oriented, task-driven, and able to complete work on time and with urgency in a more casual environment
    • Sense of humor, familiarity with our content
    • Willingness to bring passion and dedication to the role
