As a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be a key driver of Fullscript’s forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes.
You will support the broader strategic direction of the business through deep business partnership and insightful analysis. The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a critical role in internal financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the delivery of actionable insights.
This position requires a highly-motivated and experienced professional with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. This role will report directly to the Director of FP&A and will lead and build out a team of high performing FP&A professionals.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Manage the end-to-end annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with leaders across the business to align on investment and resourcing needs.
- Maintain and enhance rolling forecasts, updating financial projections with current data and performance trends to provide an accurate outlook.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Play a key role in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership and Fullscript’s board of directors.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, concise insights and recommendations for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of financial planning systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Participate in monthly operations meetings, providing analysis and insights to support discussions on business strategy and performance.
- Business Partnership & Operational Support:
- Partner with executives and senior leaders across the organization to drive business impact
- Create and oversee ad hoc analyses across various business areas, including sales and marketing, fulfillment operations, and supply chain.
- Manage the preparation and analysis of business cases to support new investment, strategic, and other business decisions.
- Process & Control:
- Support the accounting team with detailed expense analysis and variance explanations.
- Maintain and improve rigorous processes and controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial deliverables.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring high standards of performance and analytical rigour.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Professional qualifications such as CMA, CPA, or CFA are a plus.
- Minimum of 6-9 years of progressive experience within an FP&A capacity, including experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Significant experience in FP&A within high-growth environments; comfort with the complexities of organizations at scale ($1B+ of revenue) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Finance concepts and US GAAP.
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Sigma, etc.).
- Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Superior Excel modeling skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill and communicate key findings from complex analyses and partner with senior leaders across the business.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
