Senior DevOps Software Engineer (Contractor)
The Senior DevOps Software Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of products, including complex medical devices, robotics, and industrial equipment. This position works in a fast-paced cross-functional team, requiring an individual who is a software engineer with a passion for DevOps, or a DevOps engineer with significant software engineering experience.
This is a contract hybrid position requiring at least three days per week onsite in Westborough, MA.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
· Execute all elements of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to code reviews and verification.
· Design and implement DevOps infrastructure, including automation, configuration management, and CI/CD.
· Communicate designs and resolve feedback with internal teams and clients.
· Work independently with strong initiative in a fast-paced environment.
KEY SKILLS:
· 5+ years of experience with the following or similar technologies:
· Ansible
· Docker
· Kubernetes
· Azure
· Terraform
· Linux
· Shell scripting
· Python
· Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, SVN, or other industry-standard source control) and SDLC processes
· Experience using Agile techniques, including task / issue management
· Demonstrated commitment to high quality
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Experience with IoT
· Experience working under IEC 62304 or similar standards working with medical devices or other safety critical systems
