The Position

      The Chief Financial Officer is a new position within the organization that will lead our finance-related operations and report directly to the CEO. Primary responsibilities will include:
    • Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes.
    • Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation.
    • Oversee both in-house and outsourced bookkeeping teams.
    • Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.

    • Lead and manage the budgeting process.
    • Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
    • Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
    • Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance.
    • Process the financial activities of the organization to maximize company profits and plan for growth.
    • Coordinate with legal and tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to our industry.
    • Oversee the financial operations of our subsidiaries at a high-level.

Day-to-Day Duties:

    • Own all aspects of Finance operations, including:
    • Regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement.
    • Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to internal and external parties.
    • Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross-team processes.
    • Partner with the CEO to support corporate finance activities.
    • Manage and supervise all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including the implementation of accounting and billing systems and controls.
    • Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets and liabilities.

What We're Looking For:

    • 5+ years of experience leading financial operations.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP, cash basis, and accrual basis accounting.
    • Experience with interstate and international financial operations and taxation issues.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters.
    • Possesses critical knowledge of federal and multiple state tax laws as well as basic accounting issues.
