The Position:
FullStack is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at FullStack. As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial activities of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decisions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the executive team to optimize financial processes and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to management, stakeholders, and external parties.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws, and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning activities, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis and evaluation of business opportunities, investments, and cost-saving initiatives to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and sales teams, to provide financial guidance and support for project pricing, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis.
- Prepare financial models and forecasts to assess the financial viability and potential impact of new projects, acquisitions, or expansion plans.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices in financial management, and make recommendations for process improvements and system implementations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles, preferably in the software consultancy or IT services industry.
- Experience with transfer pricing, foreign currency management, and other financial matters which arise from foreign subsidiaries.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, including experience in a role with annual audit requirements.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling software.
- Demonstrated understanding of ASC 606.
- Excellent Google Sheets and other spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
