The Senior Strategic IO Planner will provide Subject Matter Expertise in MISO and IO Planning for a government program at USSOUTHCOM. This individual will have experience in EW, IO, MILDEC, OPSEC, Targeting, and PSYOP and the integration of these capabilities. This position will serve as a functional expert and action officer for IO at the COCOM level.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Support and serve as a functional expert and action officer for IO at the COCOM level.
·         Provide support to conduct appropriate coordination between the SOUTHCOM J39 and other internal and external staffs.
·         Provide support on IO actions, policy and authorities, which may include developing proposed IO Strategy, Guidance, Concept of Operations (CONOP), coordinating themes and messages, gaining situational awareness and providing support to Operational Planning Teams (OPT) and working groups.
·         Support the preparation of information papers, decision papers, CONOPs, correspondence, and other joint documents required to support the IO mission.
·         Provide support compiling and reporting accurate data to measure the performance of all IO programs and activities.
·         Provide IO support for the Theater Campaign Plan.
·         Provide IO support to the USSOUTHCOM exercise program.
·         Provide support and inputs to the Joint Training Management System (JTMS), Joint Lessons Learned System (JLLS), and Defense Reporting Readiness System (DRRS), and Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (TSCMIS)
·         Support the integration of DOD Rewards Program into USSOUTHCOM IO plans, programs, and activities.
·         Support with the development and planning of Electronic Warfare (EW) activities for both exercises and contingencies to include the support of development of EW portions of USSOUTHCOM CONPLANs, and OPORDs.  
·         Maintain weekly, daily during crisis, coordination with the USSOUTHCOM Public Affairs Office, J5, J7/9, and other Interagency offices and organizations, as required.
·         Other duties related to FWG business, as required.
 
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
·         Joint Information Operations Planners' Course Graduate, or FA 30 certification or AF/Marine service equivalent MOS  
·         JPME2 and ILE graduate with experience in the SOUTHCOM AOR.
·         Bachelor's Degree
·         School-trained and experienced in EW, MILDEC, PSYOP, Targeting, and OPSEC preferred.
 
Licenses & Certifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility required
 
Experience:
Three (3) years as a combatant command or component headquarters IO strategic planner preferred.  May be substituted for relevant/select IO military staff level experience.
 
Skills & Abilities:
High level communication skills, verbal and written
 
 
Other:
US Citizenship required to meet contract and government clearance requirements
 

$135,000 - $170,000 a year
