Genesis is building a world-class ML team in an industry that has underutilized computational methods for too long. We are creating the best molecular generation and property prediction platform in the world, filling in a critical piece in the drug discovery process. We need you to build scalable, robust infrastructure to support the cutting-edge research that will enable us to find cures for a wider range of diseases, faster than ever before.
You will
- Improve our data infrastructure, built on GCP cloud storage and Postgres, optimizing for data integrity, performance, and flexibility manipulating billions of molecular datapoints
- Improve our computational infrastructure of 100s of GPUs and 1000s of CPUs on top of Kubernetes within Google cloud, optimizing for cost-savings and fault-tolerance
- Build a colocated GPU-heavy cluster that will bear the brunt of our compute needs, and automatically overflow requests into our Google cloud cluster
- Work closely with software engineers, AI engineers and medicinal chemists to make our infrastructure maximally adaptive to different use cases
You are
- A strong software engineer, experienced writing production code and driving projects to completion, preferably at either a top industry company or a fast-moving startup
- Preferred: Experienced building and maintaining a distributed backend in production, ideally with Docker + Kubernetes
- Preferred: Good with SQL, experienced optimizing schema + queries for performance
- Preferred: Strong understanding of networking + network security
- Nice-to-have: Experience building computers from parts, professionally or as a hobby
